      This one was held in an off-display cage and is known for being a cranky little so-and-so. She hoods up whenever anyone walks past - stop near her cage and she'll strike.

      @Hix Am I remembering correctly that you saw one of these guys in the wild on the roof of your hotel in Borneo?

      Not quite. I heard a thump on the roof of a covered walkway and thought it might have been a squirrel or primate, but with no further noise I guessed it was a tree branch. A short time later one of the employees of the resort photographed a King Cobra on the ground at that very spot.

      It might have been a tree branch that fell on the roof, but I'm still glad I wasn't able to climb up and poke my head over the roof edge. :p
