      The breeding male tapir and 2 of his sons have gone to Knowsley leaving 3 adults - I assume the breeding female and daughters . However there are now also two quite well-grown youngsters present , indicating some in-breeding . Whilst the 3 adults and one calf were on the island , the second calf was on its own a long way from them .

      I think I have commented before, that this must be quite the largest amount of water availble to Tapirs in a UK tapir enclosure.
