Late 1970's

This photo is an aerial view from the late 1970's... At the top right you can see the recently completed expansion south into Western Springs park... The bottom middle is now home to wallabies and emu... The pit to the right and above has been remodelled twice and is now home to the female Sumatran Tiger, Molek... The building on the right, middle is now the cafe... The band rotunda is still there... The remainder of the park today has changed extensively and is much heavier planted... This photo was sourced from the book: A Tiger by the Tail by Derek Wood...
