Is the untouched hippo exhibit the one seen at the top?
    • gerenuk
No that's the old rhinoceros pen. The hippo pen would be just to the left of it.

It's the green patch between the elephants in the small pool and the bull stalls.

What's the trek? Do they plan to bring hippos and rhinos back since there's still plates with the species inside the building and the hippo exhibit is still there?

The trek is the walking trek they can walk up and down (set on a hill). It's goes from Elephant Outpost up to the Bird House. No, those animals are not in their immediate future plans.

Can you see them from the Bird House? I don't remember a place to view them there.

You can see the top part of the trek from the outside bird exhibits. It's in between the second kori bustard exhibit and the beginning of the King vulture exhibit. It has a sign that says, "Big Bird?" and explains the trek.

Oh I think I remember seeing a sign like that, I didn't understand it at the time, though. Too bad that the zoo isn't going to get any more rhinos or hippos soon.
