      What happened to Chester's Philippine Deer may I ask? A few years back, they were housed in 3 seperate enclosures and the zoo had seemingly tuns of them but now down to just the 3 females behind the Asian Plains?

      I think some of them are probably at Colchester, Newquay and West Mids. ;)

      Not any more they are not have now left the collection,the paddock is empty but the Deer are still labelled.

      When I visited on Sunday they were still in the paddock.

      I visited on Tuesday in the rain and they were in the paddock then (will be visiting again next month)

      They were there on Wednesday 9th June.

      It would appear I`ve jumped the gun abit here but have been told by 2 people that they are going,but seeing as people have seen them since my statement thinking they may be going soon or not at all and the people I spoke to may have got the wrong end of the stick.

      A female from Chester arrived at Newquay in January 2009 and a female arrived at Colchester Zoo in May 2008.
