      what is the tree for?
    • CZJimmy
It is the entrance/escape route for the colobus monkeys who will start to cohabit the island later this year...
    • mstickmanp
So are the colobus in exhibit yet?
    • snowleopard
Will the colobus monkeys ever be allowed into this exhibit?
    • reduakari
Only if they are the very-rarely exhibited "grass colobus." Where the hell would a canopy-dwelling primate go in this awful exhibit?
    • mstickmanp
    • snowleopard
The exhibit looks a hell of a lot better with the extra climbing structures!

Why didn't they just put a few more of those small trees on the island?
They might have been better to build the Gorilla's a cage like the mangabey's have!
    • snowleopard
That massive fake tree is a bit of an eyesore, especially with its African crested porcupine appearance!
    • reduakari
The gorillas DID live in an exhibit almost exactly like the mangabeys, part of the late-1960s Sobell Pavillion for Primates. They at least have more space now, and a much better indoor area.
