      Otus megalotis?
    • Hevden
      Yes I believe so
    • lowland anoa
Otus longicornis is the Latin name for the species.
    • threeple61
That species is not kept in Europe, so it is more likely to be the O.megalotis, kept by a few other collections.
    • TeaLovingDave
It is not; Otus longicornis is the Luzon Highland Scops Owl, an entirely different taxon to the Luzon Lowland Scops.

Don't just say the first thing that comes into your head :p

Spoil sport we all need a good laugh:D:p;)

erm, to be fair that was the name given previously when discussing the bird (even if it was corrected afterwards), and it is also the name used by bongorob on his photo.....
    • zoogiraffe
Indeed that is true, but then the the correct name had been agreed by people, with a track record of knowing what they are on about,as for bongorob naming all I will say is never trust a man that cannot count Bongos!!
