The African aviary inside the Giraffe House in Magdeburg Zoo. In here lives blue-throated carmine bee-eaters (Merops nubicus), mombasa speckled mousebirds (Colius striatus mombassicus), red-cheeked cordon-bleus (Uraeginthus bengalus) and harlequin quails (Coturnix delegorguei). There is also a small tank with Malawi cichlids.

The Giraffe House opened in 1991 and was built in 110 hours as part of a reality show. Probably a record in Giraffe House building speed.
