      Similar to my comment on the new sloth bear exhibit, I am going to point out how dense the foliage was in the Amur tiger enclosure during my 2012 visit. Sunset Zoo has made great strides in the past decade (new entrance and exhibits for popular animals such as gibbons and red pandas), but I'm not sure that either the Malayan tiger or sloth bear exhibits are actually better for the animals. The planting will NEVER grow in to anything like it was before.

      I never got the rush to open new exhibits when they look *this* bare. Let the plants grow and establish. Woodland Park had the gall, the audacity to... let their gorilla exhibit sit for roughly a few years, creating a lush experience.
