Mandrill House

Mandrill House

Strange one this. The zoo has done well with mandrills over the years, despite their being in a hideous cage (half of the current drill enclosure). A few years ago they were moved to a new place up on the hill - not cutting edge, but a big improvement in terms of space and possibilities. Now they are back in what was once the mangabey cage, and the 'new' house stands empty. I'd be interested to know the reasoning behind this move - I'm sure there is a reason there, somewhere.
