The Te Anau Wildlife Centre is a small free-entry DoC-run facility, mostly housing rehabilitated birds I gather, although there are also takahe there. The double aviary labelled on the map for red-crowned and yellow-crowned kakariki is now a single aviary just for red-crowned kakariki. There were no tui when I was there. I had heard they had orange-fronted kakariki but they did not (at least not at this time). 2 November 2012
