      Even with that dark of a head. Granted I'm only going off of what I can find on google images.

      Also @lintworm any thoughts on the Bamboo rat I posted from here?

      @Giant Eland it looks like a Himalayan Marmot to me, but marmots out of context are tricky because they are really variable and many species change their coats through the year. I definitely wouldn't want to place any bets on identity for it.

      For what it's worth, Bobak Marmots are commonly sold as pets in Thailand.

      Himalayan was the species I thought as well and had on my list with a "?" next to it.
