Matschie's Tree Kangaroo, Singapore Zoo

This gorgeous fella is Huon, a male Matschie's tree roo. The roos are free roaming within the Fragile Forest exhibit, but are much more shy than their neighbours like the lemurs and sloths.

      He lives at Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle now :)

      Singapore Zoo (for some reason) has replaced the Matschie's with Goodfellow's.

      The focus within the Australian regoin now is for the Goodfellows species maybe Singapore is be included in the regional breeding program?

      You could be right Mike, it would make practical sense. For now Singapore only has one female from San Diego.
