May 2022- Baird’s tapir

There's a couple of tapirs living in that area, I saw them there as well, although those didn't venture out in the open like this.

@ralph Yeah, this one appeared near an adventure park we visited. One of guides noted a tapir was nursed to health around the area not too long ago, and either that individual or its calf is the animal pictured here.

I think I saw the same individual back in 2017. It saw a female with an already quite grown-up youngster. This tapir could be any of those 2.
