      Chico! Have you read about the efforts of activists to get more meerkats for him to live with so he won't be alone? He's the only one, and it's awful. :(

      Yup, the only problem is his age. Not that many zoos have old meerkats available.

      Actually, he turns nine in Nov. It's not about being old. Meerkats have a social structure and it is usually a dominate female in charge. There are many older meerkats in zoos suitable for Chico. He was from the louisville Zoo and got along well with Spanky the LA kat. There are many tricks keepers use to get kats use to each other. A new kat is comming for Christmas from Virginia
