      The Winter 2011 Zoo Grapevine magazine contains a review of the park and it states that there were at that time 62 bird species at the zoo. Of those perhaps a handful are found outside of Australia and thus the wildlife park is quite a unique destination for non-Aussie zoo nerds with around 55 brand-new species for bird fans.

      Good question! The review is not specific but I had assumed that it was talking about captive birds.
