Monk Saki (Pithecia monachus)

This individual was being held with a pair of what looked like Callicebus ornatus but was labelled as Callicebus cupreus, (A specie that does not occur in Colombia and does not have the characteristic white eyebrow these individuals had. The possible reason that explains this misidentification is that the Callicebus ornatus was considered a subspecie of the Callicebus cupreus until recent years.) Apparently this is the only captive member of the Pithecia genus to live in a Colombian zoo
