Mother and baby elephant-shrew

Black-and-rufous elephant-shrews Rhynchocyon petersi In the Crocodile River exhibit. The baby had been hiding in an inconspicuous leaf nest, emerging to feed when the mother stopped nearby. Felt some people might want to see this.

      From what I've heard and from the pictures I saw I can tell you that the young left the "nest" and has been grown quite a lot already :)
