Nahampoana - Ring-tailed lemur

A ring-tailed lemur crossing the road with its tail held high in the Nahampoana Reserve. Nothing says Madagascar like this picture. The reserve has two large groups of quite habituated ring-tailed lemurs. The Nahampoana Reserve is located just north of Fort Dauphin on the southeast coast of Madagascar. This reserve offers tourists and travelers a rare chance to see and get close-up with six different species of lemurs and other wildlife. January 2010
