Tiger looks very neat and regal.

Is this an off exhibit yard?

This is the main enclosure, an ancient grotto that has been at the zoo for decades. Apparently in the next couple of years there is the strong possibility that the lion and tiger grottoes will be renovated, although to be fair they are larger than most other pits that zoos keep their carnivores in.

is there a significant sign of wear and tear to the point of crumbling?

To be honest I think (from the picture) it looks like a quarentine holding. If the do refurbish this exhibit it has a lot of potential!

The tiger grotto is rather large, and is multi-tiered with several different levels. There are a few photos in the ZooChat gallery.

This is just a small corner of the enclosure where the moat meets one of the enclosure's sides. Each enclosure is about 10,000 sq ft in size.

Although these are not the best looking exhibits, they actually aren't bad at all for the tigers and lions who rotate between the three almost identical exhibits.
