National Zoo - Sumatran Tiger

July 2008. I love the fact that the zoo didn't simply hotwire all of the trees in the exhibit, but rather placed bark around the existing bark on the trees. Brilliant idea, as the tigers can scratch away at their leisure without destroying any living tree.
