Nürnberg Zoo - Manatee exhibit

The exhibit for manatees in Nürnberg Zoo. This is not a very good exhibit at all, but they can be lucky, they will get a new exhibit in a tropical house in a few years.

Do you know what species?

All manatees in Europe are caribbean manatees (Trichechus manatus) and Nürnberg Zoo is one of the main breeders.

I can’t believe that manatees for so long lived (and thrived) in these conditions!
