This is 2-3 ks from the present glacier. A few years ago the ice reached this point.

      I was there in 2015 and really wanted to walk further along towards the glacier, but we were on a coach tour so our time wasn't our own. However, we did take a helicopter flight up to the top of the glacier where we stood on the ice ( a couple of days before a fatal helicopter crash up there :eek:)
