      What happened to the large troop of Olive Baboons? (Were they actually Yellow Baboons?) The big group is now long gone...

      @Zoofan15 I don't know the final size as I have not been a regular visitor to the zoo, but I would guess a minimum of a dozen baboons at one point. A whole herd of at least a dozen Alpine Ibex also vanished several years ago, along with approximately 20 Collared Peccaries. Greater Vancouver Zoo is not very forthcoming about animal movement in the collection and it is very different in that respect in comparison to other zoos. No doubt because it's a privately run venture.

      @snowleopard You're correct. GVZoo had yellow baboons, not olive baboons.

      @snowleopard @Zoofan15 The troop of yellow baboons dwindled to six individuals. Two baboons passed away and the four remaining baboons were relocated to another facility. The relocation took place a few months ago.
