Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo - Desert Dome

July 2008. Immense rocky wall that has rock hyrax racing around on the ledges. Spectacular but flawed, as some people have pointed out that the hyrax are stuck on their tiny ledges.

Do they have access to all the ledges or only a couple?

Some of the ledges appeared to be empty when I visited, while others had 2-3 rock hyrax on them. I think that at least a third of the ledges had hyrax, but some visitors were walking right by them and not even noticing that there were animals on the gigantic wall of stone.

This would have been amazing as a hyrax walkthrough habitat, where maybe the ledges lead to the ground. IDK, something like Leipzig's hyrax walkthrough?
