This looks like a nice indoor exhibit, but is it big enough for it's resident?

The gorilla outdoor and indoor areas at the Omaha zoo are sort of maze-like, as they wind up and down and around a large building. There are hallways, bubble viewing areas that pop up into the gorilla yard, and overall the design is quite interesting.

      Mmmm..not impressed.

All the pics ive seen so far are full of concrete and fake trees.:(

I agree. Some of the indoor enclosures are terrible.

      yuk.

gorillas shouldn't be kept indoors. let alone like this.

I hate this exhibit...but most zoos in the US and Europe could never meet your requirement that gorillas be outside all of the time. Not many places have as equable a climate as Melbourne.

What's wrong with it? You all complain if it has bars or something, and then this zoo doesn't use them and uses mock rock and that and you say they shouldn't be kept in these conditions?

At least at Howlets and the likes the gorillas aren't sitting on concrete all day, with concrete to climb on and can only sleep on concrete. It's a shame that zoo visitors will see this and think the gorillas are happy because thier exhibit is natural. Is there anything natural in this exhibit.

This is only the indoor exhibit. I don't think the gorillas live here 24/7.
