      I don’t get why it’s so far away from the wall. They really messed this up imo.

      Possibly the safety aspect so no one could ever fall into the enclosure ? (as at Jersey gorilla enclosure). It sort of works okay as the scale is so big anyway.

      Also the gap between platform and wall is not as big as it seems in the photo.
