Every time I see a photo of this Monkey, I think what a marvellous species it is . It is so sad that it is in a precarious state in European zoos and has now gone from the UK entirely. I had the rare pleasure of seeing them a number of times at all five UK zoos that used to have them(London, Banham, Marwell, Twycross & Edinburgh.)

I've only been regularly visiting collections for about four years now, but I do consider it a rather sombre achievement that I was able to see this species before it ceased to be kept within the UK; it is a very attractive and distinctive species, and one which I will miss greatly.
