Insectariums are usually super cool, but this place appears to be very basic and amateurish. What did you think of it?

@snowleopard It's the only insectarium I've been to, so I don't have anything to compare it to. This place is largely for children / educational stuff, so the species get moved in and out frequently as they go to schools (I visited on a weekday, so likely missed some species). You also have to factor in that it's only been a couple of years since they were robbed of thousands of animals, around 90% of their collection. The owner has been working on rebuilding but that takes time and money.

It's a weird place, but it's very Philadelphia. I spoke with several employees and they were among the friendliest I've ever spoken with at a zoo-type place, very helpful and welcoming. As a solo woman, I might have felt a bit uncomfortable if it was a city I wasn't familiar with.
