Is that the former Amazon river dolphin habitat?

I think it is the former dolphin tank.

Yes, it is the former dolphin tank. It's a beautiful tank with a gorgeous setting, but is quite small for an amazon river dolphin. There is actually a painting/photo of the dolphin on the wall of the aquarium.

I think, this is one of the best aquariums in a zoo of the states I've seen, I've visted Pittsburg in 2005, unfortunately, the last river dolphin was gone at this time.In the zoobook "The Pittsburgh Zoo-A Hundred years History" was written the zoo aquired four river dolphins in 190, three of them died within four month and "Chuckles"was the only river dolphin on display in an aquarium. This is wrong, because at the publishing date of the book,1998,, two of the same species has lived in the aquarium of the duisburg Zoo ( one of them is still alive and holds now the lonvivity record of that species in captivity) and in the zoo of valencia, venecuela.
