Porcupine Exhibit at Zoo Simon Bolivar, 12/04/14

Labelled for Mexican Prehensile-tailed Porcupine, this had evidence of occupation but no animal and no place it could hide. Given how escape-proof it doesn't look, I wonder if the animal is not left in overnight (we visited in the last 90min or so of opening time). This would have been my only new mammal species in the zoo, but I did not have long to wait to see the species...

Enclosure is still there, although slighty altered. Did see a single porcupine.
