I think this is 'Boumi' He is one of the four full brothers- Boulas, Boumi, Timbou, and Oumbi.(all Bitam x Mouila). Oumbi and Boulas are at Twycross, while Timbou lives alone in one section of this circular cage(due to fighting with the others)

I think the five large males are still at Port Lympne as Rhenen have not built(or completed?) their enclosure yet.

I thought it was the five largest males that live in the circular age that were going to Holland.

Im not sure but i thought it was the four younger males from Howletts that were going

I`m not sure any males will be going at all since from what I know, the construction of the the gorilla enclosure in Rhenen has still not even started. They had announced the arrival of 5 males for autum 2009... and nothing has happenend at all.
    • Pertinax
Yes, I had begun to wonder about that too. I always thought it was the oldest five that were originally intended to go to Rhenen, as in 2009 the younger group of 4 (from Kifu's group) was not even formed. I have always presumed these younger ones might be the group that go to Longleat next year, but from what you say perhaps it could be either (or neither!)?

Here's a photo from Flickr that mentions Boumi and there's fencing up:

If you look a further in that photostream you will see that Rhenen are advertising them as The Big Five.

The photos indicate very clearly which group it is- the five oldest. They are all mentioned by name and portrait in different pictures.

I presume that the other male group( originally from Kifu's group) will find themselves at Longleat.
