Individual(s) may no longer be at the zoo! I glimpsed some video footage of a transfer looking like pygmy hippo out. The held an elderly female and a youngish male from Singapore Zoo. Any recent info appreciated!
Estimado @carlos55, do you know at all which of the 2 individuals was shipped - male or female - to Buin Zoo in Chile? I would have guessed the elderly female might have passed away already in Zoologico Municipal previously and the Singapore bred male (sent on B/L by them to Buenos Aires) was transferred to Chile. Any local news sources available for the above?
It is the elderly female Frida it seems that got transferred to Buin Zoo in Chile. Alas no mention made of the Singapore male Ivory (fate or whereabouts???). See the thread: Pygmy hippos in captivity.
