Rabbit ID

Cottontail species outside my apartment in Washington state, perhaps Sylvilagus nuttallii? (4/5/20)

    • birdsandbats
      Certainly a Sylvilagus species. There are two in Washington, S. nuttallii (Nuttall's Cottontail) and S. floridanus (Eastern Cottontail). This genus in notoriously difficult but I would guess Eastern for this individual.
