Subspecies levipes, the only one(s) in captivity are at this facility.

@birdsandbats I believe SDZSP keeps some bts for breed and release.

@Zoological Point how hard is it to see these birds here? Do you know of a specific time when it is best?

@ThylacineAlive it's not too hard, I've been twice in the late afternoon and seen them both times.

@Zoological Point Thanks! Would you say late afternoon is better than around opening? Or is it you've just always been in late afternoon?

@ThylacineAlive I would say go later in the day. When I've gone all day, the raptors, rails and turtles are more active in the late afternoon and early evening
