Warsaw Zoo has been getting rarer and rarer birds over the last few years which is really nice. I'm really excited about this addition in particular!

I have not seen this species yet myself so I can imagine! :)

Very nice! Would they have come from a private collection in Europe?

@zooboy28 I suspect that is likely. The other possibility would be from a US zoo. I would be interested to hear from anyone who knows anything about the origin of these birds.

Can't help with origin much, but they are kept in three US zoos- Prospect Park, Houston, and Miami. Prospect Park has the most sizable amount, with 3.5. I suspect that's where they'd have come from if they did come from America.

Edit: I doubt they did come from America, though, as we don't really have that many to spare regardless.

They're kept in private collections in Europe, so they likely came from a private keeper.
