This is evidently a male. Do Whipsnade now have a pair(or more) of Red River Hogs? For a long time they only had females(born Regent's Park) and then recently I think one or two of them were sent to Jersey. Do they still have them at Regents Park or are these theirs?

Unless they've moved them on since Easter time (which is possible), there were a few RR hogs in one of the old cat enclosures

I can't get onto ISIS at the moment to check, unfortunately.

Yes, I noticed that had happened- I wondered if that move meant they were now on their way out of the zoo and Whipsnade-bound.

The ones at ZSL are the parents (plus subsequent offspring?) of the females that were originally at Whipsnade and which may now have moved(or some of them) to Jersey.

I only saw two specimens on my last visit to Whipsnade.

Confusingly, the latest ZSL animal inventory calls these ‘African bush pig’, although it gives the specific name porcus not larvatus.
