Restaurant at Brno, 27/05/10

The restaurant at Brno boasts (as well as distinctly above-average zoo food) viewing into two animal exhibits - the Grizzled Giant Squirrel exhibit in the foregorund here, and the Sumatran Tiger exhibit (visible through the windows at the back).

I have to say that I find this very, very impressive.I am so tired of the usual horrible zoo restaurants - this is fantastic! Certain features remind me of Cesar Manrique architecture as seen in Lanzarote. And I love squirrels, so I would prefer to sit by this splendid squirrel enclosure, but I would not mind being alongside the tigers either.Other zoos planning to renovate restaurant facilities PLEASE use this as inspiration.Although I can not see it in the photos, I am happy to see the info. that the food is good also- I can well believe it given the magnificent surroundings.Czech zoos seem to be getting really good.Top marks!

Ehem? Czech zoos (well, at least some) have always been really good (among others, at original zoo design)-now they're getting even better...:p
