A view into the gorilla exhibit in the African section in Rotterdam Zoo. This exhibit used to be an island, but after Bokito's famous escape, it was surrounded by a dry moat and high walls. A decent exhibit with lots of shrubs and trees in the centre. July 2008

      It looks really nice :)
      There seem to be quite a few trees, providing a decent lot of cover. Do the Gorillas use it more than they do in a zoo with little or no cover, like London or Bristol? And are the trees hotwired?

      As far as I can see and remember only some of the very young trees are hotwire protected.
