rough gecko (Naultinus rudis)

endemic to the northeast of the South Island of New Zealand. The South Island green geckoes were formerly placed in the genus [i]Heteropholis[/i], but are now combined with [i]Naultinus[/i] (previously only containing the North Island green gecko species)
