      A bloody nice species, and one which is beginning to be found in some numbers in the UK - a sign that not everything in the world of UK small cats is as grim as the situation for BFC.

      RSCC have so many, more than 12 I believe! And PL have them in large numbers as well!

      Indeed; and the species is also held in lower numbers at Hamerton and Exmoor :)

      WHF has 1 but are looking to get some more, I believe from PL.

      They don't really count though, not being a public collection :p

      A shame they have the only jungle cat in the UK outside private hands....

      Yeah it is, they do hope to bring a female for Jack the Jungle cat. Got the chance to photograph him on my last trip.

      Last I heard there were still two or three knocking around.

      A damn nice animal; the species used to be near-ubiquitous in the UK but now is all but absent, presumably due to lack of interest in the taxon.
