Seattle Aquarium - Jellyfish

May 18th, 2008. A great exhibit that is a glass tunnel that loops over the heads of visitors, disappears into the ground, and then arches back up again. It's a long tunnel-like structure about 8 feet high and a few feet wide.

Looks good... What do you mean by disappears underground..?

It literally goes into a hole in the ground...just imagine one half of a McDonald's golden arch! If someone were to stand in the centre of the arch then the top would loop over their head. Well at the Seattle Aquarium the arch is continuous, as it arches over a person's head and then doesn't stop at the ground but continues underneath (the visitor cannot see it beneath their feet) and then comes up a few feet away. This jellyfish tank is seamless, including over the heads of visitors and beneath their feet and under the floorboards.

In other words, it's like a big donut, but a portion of it is underground.
