Siam Park 12/11/10
If you like water parks, this place is superb - proper big fun water slides. It's part of the same organisation as Loro Parque and discounted joint entry is available. For the zoo nerd, there is an additional bonus in the shape of a small animal collection - Californian Sea Lions, Sand Tiger, Nurse and Black-tipped Reef Sharks, Common Stingrays (Dasyatis pastinaca) and Common Carp - all fully-labelled. This is the shark and ray tank - there are two tunnels through it - one part of the Mai Thai River ride - a sort of lazy version of a rapids ride - and one the exit chute from the Tower of Power - a single-drop slide that shoots you through the shark tank at speeds far too fast to see the sharks. This is the tunnel visible through these windows, with the slide to the rear. Your intrepid explorer did indeed ride this slide - fun, but not the best way to view the sharks...
