Quite a simple enclosure - a bit of woodland, fenced off. Pretty effective.

Can I expect reviews of Cottbus and Gorlitz in the next issue of Zoo Grapevine? It would be pleasant to read about a couple of German zoos that are not as well known as many of their contemporaries.

Very possibly! I need to send some accumulated maps off to Canada first, though.

Nice enclosure indeed. Two of the best zoological parks in the world in my opinion are done entirely this way - just put fences around large tracts of existing forest. (The two parks btw are Parc Des Felins in France and Northwest Trek in USA).
