I thought you might like these shots, TLD. :D

If you had managed to get to Hamerton a bit before your first visit then you would have seen them Dave! ;)

      Lovely shot Maguari.:)

And Galloway a fortnight before my first visit.....
    • Brum
That must be even more upsetting! :p
    • Maguari
    • Javan Rhino
I'm sure we've all had an 'unhealthy obsession' species or two (I know I've had several :p)

Thing is, I could have seen both taxa at Erfurt myself had I chosen to visit there rather that Magdeburg last year, as I toyed with doing :p as such I made an active decision to delay getting the langur lifetick (as I intend to visit Erfurt someday) and thus that one doesn't bother me quite as much. At the time I wasn't entirely sure the Siberian Weasel was still present, of course.

And JR has some cheek talking about obsession considering he followed me to Leipzig and Magdeburg to make sure I didn't get any lifeticks over him ;) :p

Indeed - the first reason this trip caught my enthusiasm was to see Nilgiri Langur at last! :D

It's an interesting thing, as you talk of 'delaying' them - seeing Nilgiri Langurs for me almost feels like the end of an era - the last 'big' mammal species for me to see that has been in Europe and on my radar ever since I started overseas zooing in a 'serious' manner. There are still many exciting things to see - gotta get me an Iberian Lynx one way or another, for one - and the day after this visit I was to pick up two more new mammal species at Schoenebeck. There are new species that have come in, and there are a few that I missed - but the langur was the last thing standing from my 'original' list of big objectives, if you like.
