      What happened to the Sumatran Rhino at the LA Zoo? Are there any plans for more or breeding programs for them?

      He was sent to Sumatra so that he could breed with the two females they have there. He was sent in 2007.

      So is the LA zoo going to have new Sumatran Rhinos in the Pachyderm Forest exhibit?

      Nope, Pachyderm Forest will only have Asian Elephants. There will also be exhibits for Chinese Water Deer and Sarus Cranes.

      I doubt the LA Zoo will get Sumatran Rhinos anytime soon.

      bummer, I went once and the Sumatran Rhino wasn't on exhibit that day and now I won't be able to see one for awhile...
