      This is the narrow part of the exhibit. The exhibit is wider by the viewing area. The exhibit is triangle, but not with straight sides. This portion allows the deers to be away from the viewing glass if they desire. The stones are in this part of the exhibit because this area does not grow grass well and the stones prevent the area from getting muddy. They tend to spend a lot of their time in the larger part of the exhibit near their barn.

      It probably promotes good hoof erosion as well.
