An interesting mix, but in order to see my favourite mongoose species I had to also endure looking at my least favourite :p

      I believe some of the meerkats were 'kicked out' of the family group in the next-door enclosure.

      Yup that's correct - looking through the 2012 guide it mentions that the males now live with the Yellow Mongoose on one side and the females live separate on the other.
