Soft coral (Sarcophyton sp), somebody can identify to species level?

I know that it's difficult and that most (if not all) zoochatters don't look much into this kind of animals, but... let's try! This was in a pet shop, many years ago, still unidentified

it's not so much "difficult" as "probably impossible". I know you want to get a very specific answer but most soft corals simply can't be reliably identified to species level from a photo.

Thanks anyway. In an aquarium forum they suggested me Sarcophyton glaucum, but I'm not entirely convinced.

it may be - but that's also just a name that gets attached by default in the trade. That's pretty common in commercial trade in invertebrates and fish.
