      @Tafin It’s a thing rhinos do when they’re stressed or on high alert. I first heard reference to it on the Zoo TV show when they were doing rhino introductions. One of the female’s tail curled up as she went out to meet the bull she was being introduced to. Samburu only did this momentarily as a result of the scuffle with his father, and soon resumed eating.

      @Zoofan15 That’s really interesting. I saw this tail-curling behaviour at Australia Zoo and didn’t think anything of it.
      Caballe and Inyeti were both very protective of their new calves. Inyeti got a bit too close to Caballe’s calf and there was a brief horn to horn scuffle between the mothers. They both briefly curled their tails above their backs.
